Problem

A general contractor was performing refurbishment work at a nuclear power plant, and had some older-style heat treatment console they wanted modified for a line heat-up. The consoles were 9-way power supplies with digital controllers and analogue ammeters. They wanted the 9-ways converted to 12-ways and be able to control them outside of the containment unit.

Solution

We worked with one our vendors to design a custom 3-way tophat to convert their consoles from 9-ways to 12-ways and utilized a HeatView Control system to add remote monitoring and control for them. The HeatView system was able to work with the existing console and CT-Coils to provide a very cost-effective and user-friendly solution.
