Problem

A shipyard performing repairs on a military submarine had a couple of instances of overheating during the welding pre-heat process and as a result needed to develop an unsupervised fail-safe system for performing welding pre-heats.

Solution

Working with another vendor we were able to use a combination of a custom-designed heat treatment console and a first-to-market HeatView control system that utilized artificial intelligence to create a fail-safe heat treatment system for welding pre-heat.This fail-safe system has had much interest from the military, and aerospace sectors as well.
