The annual event brought together professionals and companies from across Alberta’s welding and industrial community for an afternoon of golf, networking, and, most importantly, giving back to the next generation.
Supporting the Future of Welding
The tournament was organized by the American Welding Society (AWS) Alberta Section, a local section of the American Welding Society dedicated to supporting the welding industry through education, professional development, networking, and community initiatives.
Proceeds from this year’s tournament will support a high school welding program in Alberta, helping provide students with opportunities to develop practical welding skills and gain exposure to a career in the skilled trades.
For KASI, supporting initiatives like this is an important part of contributing to the industry we work in every day. The future of welding depends on having skilled, knowledgeable professionals entering the workforce, and programs at the high school level can play an important role in introducing young people to the trade.
A Day That Brought the Industry Together
With a 2:15 PM MT shotgun start, the tournament brought industry professionals together at The Ranch for an afternoon of friendly competition and conversation.
