Product Overview
KASI supplies vaporizers, also known as Submerged Combustion Vaporizers (SCVs), across Canada and Alberta. These units are essential when using propane fuel in high-velocity combustion systems, ensuring the proper vaporization and flow rate for reliable heat treatment performance.
Combustion heating vaporizers are engineered for efficiency, safety, and compact operation in industrial heat treatment applications.
Our SCV vaporizers are designed to vaporize cryogenic fluids such as LNG (liquefied natural gas). Using a submerged combustion process, vaporizers transfer heat from flue gases into a water bath, which then heats the cryogenic fluid contained in submerged spiral tubes. The process converts the liquid into a stable gaseous state, ready for distribution.
These vaporizers are dual-fuel capable, designed to operate with natural gas or propane, making them ideal for diverse field conditions.
How Vaporizers Work:
- Heat Generation: A burner combusts fuel (natural gas or propane) to create hot flue gases.
- Heat Distribution: Flue gases are directed downward into a water bath via a distributor or downcomer.
- Heat Transfer: Heat from the flue gases is absorbed by the water and transferred to the spiral tube circuits containing cryogenic liquid.
- Vaporization: The liquid is converted into its gaseous state through indirect heating.
- Compact Design: Burner, water bath, and heat exchanger are integrated into a single, compact SCV system.
- Type: Combustion Vaporizer

What is a vaporizer used for in heat treatment?
A vaporizer ensures the proper flow of propane or LNG by converting liquid fuel into its gaseous state for high-velocity combustion systems.
How does a submerged combustion vaporizer work?
It uses a burner to heat flue gases, which warm a water bath, transferring heat to cryogenic liquid in submerged tubes, converting it into gas.
Can vaporizers handle both propane and natural gas?
Yes. KASI vaporizers are dual-fuel capable, designed for propane or natural gas operation.
What industries use vaporizers?
They are widely used in oil & gas, petrochemical, power generation, fabrication, and cryogenic storage applications.
Can vaporizers be rented as well as purchased?
Yes. KASI offers vaporizers for rent and sale, with same-day or next-day delivery across Canada and Alberta.
