KASI supplies secondary cables, also known as Triple Cable Sets (TCS), for rent and sale across Canada and Alberta. These cables are critical for heat treatment applications, providing safe, reliable power and temperature connections to heaters.
A Triple Cable Set (TCS) consists of two power-carrying cables and one Type K compensating cable bundled together to ensure durability and performance.
The standard construction for a 3-heater TCS includes:
- Two #2 welding cables for power
- One shielded 20-gauge solid wire Type K compensating lead
- Unlike low-quality builds that use electrical tape (which deteriorates quickly) or undersized wire (which overheats easily), KASI’s TCS cables are engineered for long-lasting performance in demanding field heat treatment environments.
Lengths & Terminations:
- Available in any length, with 50′ and 100′ as the most common
Terminate with:
- 300 Amp male camlocks
- Type K male thermocouple plugs
3-Way Splitters for TCS:
- Constructed with 3 x #6 welding cables (~4 feet long)
- 1 x 300 Amp male camlock
- 3 x 90 Amp female camlocks
Single-Heater TCS:
- Built with #6 welding cable
Same design as 3-heater TCS but fitted with 90 Amp camlocks
